Back by popular demand, the Sundance Resort is offering Kids Camp for the summer and winter seasons. Let your little explorers discover what the mountains have to offer. Camps are available Monday – Friday and have weekly themes ranging from Arts, Science and Nature. Water and snacks are provided with lunch available as well unless they want it packed from home. Chair Lift Rides

Let your kids’ creativity shine! They can create their own vacation keepsakes at the Art Shack. Daily classes are offered in beading, pottery, and printmaking. Children over the age of 8 can join any adult art class. Adults can go with kids to free art time, where markers, crayons, paint, and paper are provided. We’ve been hiking the trails around Sundance all our lives, as kids ourselves and then with our own children and grandchildren. We’ll steer you to the most family-friendly trails and let you know what kinds of critters you may see along the way.

Zip Line and Outdoor Fireplace at the Hollow

Our very own zip line for our guests is located at The Hollow our private park just off the Alpine Loop. If you are reserved for one of our cabins on Big Pine Canyon Road you are just a short walk away. We think it’s the perfect place to sit around the campfire, tell ghost stories, and toast s’mores under the stars. Plus, it’s FREE for guests of Stewart Mountain Lodging! We do hold private events here on occassion.

Timpanogos Cave

  • Season: Spring/Summer/Fall

Come explore these 3 dazzlingly decorated caverns. You’ll have to hike about 1,000 feet up to the cave entrance, but the caves are worth the climb. You’ll see helictite and anthodite formations, and a knock-your-socks off view of the American Fork Canyon. Junior Ranger programs (May through September) for kids are a great way to expand your exploration of the caves.

Heber Valley Railroad

Fun for adults and kids alike, this family favorite boasts a variety of special excursions and themed trips through the canyon throughout the year. Horseback Riding

Kids absolutely LOVE our fleet of Mountain Boy sleds that are free to our guests. Big Pine Canyon is a dead end lane that is snowpacked in the winter months. In fact, it’s where we live full time. This private lane makes for some great (and safe) sledding.

Tubing at Soldier Hollow

Soldier Hollow in Wasatch Mountain State Park near Midway offers 1,200-foot sliding lanes with lift service for both day and night tubing. Great, affordable outdoor family fun!

To assure a quality experience, Soldier Hollow limits the sale of tubing tickets. On Saturdays and busy holidays, you’ll want to purchase your tickets in advance.

Provo Beach Resort
