Biking the Alpine Loop

Just because the snow has melted doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your favorite mountain vacation. In fact, the weeks between the ski resorts closing days and the start of summer operations are prime time to visit the mountains with special offers to lure you in. What’s even better, you’ll have the entire place practically to yourself.

Before Sundance - A Stewart Homestead

The Stewart Family has a long  history in the North Fork of Provo Canyon, now known as Sundance.  In the 1890’s the Stewarts first surveyed this area for the US Government. They saw an opportunity to homestead and protect a vast unspoiled treasure; thus began the love affair between a canyon and a pioneer family.

To give credit where credit is due, it is the visionary spirit of Robert Redford and the Sundance family who have nurtured the bond between art and nature which defines what is now Sundance, as much a feeling as it is a place.

Understated and non-commercial, Sundance, Utah is the personification of quiet simplicity. There is a peace here that contrasts the pace of everyday life.  If you’ve been here before you know. If it’s your first visit, you’re in for a pleasant surprise.
