Sundance Cottages

The cottages at the Sundance Resort are privately owned and all within walking distance of the Resort. It seems every buyer has a favorite of the three distinct styles of cottages yet one doesn’t appear to be more popular over another. There is simply something for everyone here in Sundance.

The Mandan Cottages were built in 1988 and include 38 ranging from Studio, two and three bedroom layouts. All Mandan cottages have a wood burning fireplace and a rough cedar interior.

The North Fork creek meanders behind the 16 southwestern styled River Run Cottages consisting of studios, one, two and three bedroom configurations all backing up to the sweet sound of the water. Completed in 1992, the River Run units feature propane fireplace and steam showers.

The last set of cottages to be built are The Pines nestled along the stream all of which are one-bedroom with spacious bath areas and cast iron propane stoves. The 11 cozy cottages were built in 1996 and nestled together as if a small European village.

Sundance Mountain Cabins

Somewhere north of 200 privately owned cabins in Sundance doesn’t make us a large market- but we like it that way. It’s why many are attracted to Sundance while others would never consider it. Year built, size and price are as vast as our wilderness. Stream-side, mountain view, private and secluded, full-time/part-time, income producing, we will find what feels most like home for your wants and needs.

Homesites

While building lots are not abundant in Sundance, there are occasional pieces that do come up from time to time. We are to the point now in our small community that some older cabins are being purchased, torn down and rebuilt. If you are looking to build rather than buy an existing home we work with talented architects, builders and contractors that know what works best in our mountain environment. We are happy to help you find your spot to build exactly what you have always wanted in your mountain retreat.

The Rooste is a Sundance classic offering everything from views of Timpanogos from one of the best decks in Sundance to the rustic elegance a “Bron Roylance Home” offers. Completely renovated in 2013 with over 6,000 sq/ft, 4 bedrooms and a deck you’ll never want to leave. The new owners are thrilled to call this their new home and we think they will decide to retire earlier than planned and be fortunate enough to call Sundance home.

Elk Meadows sits on the lofty hillside of The Hollow development in Sundance. Custom timberframe escape with 6,300 square feet on a secluded one acre lot. 5 bedrooms, 7.5 baths but the location is what makes this home one of the most desirable in all of Sundance.

No photoshop here- this really is how “Black Bird” sits with the majestic Mount Timpanogos behind waiting for the happy new owners to climb the summit each summer!

Starting clockwise top left- 3 bedroom creekside home on a quiet lane, rustic Red Roof off the Alpine Loop, Sundance Pines Cottage and a cozy cottage on Ridgetop Drive also available as a nightly rental named Ridgetop.

The Farm House built in 2011 feels as if it was designed for its new owners. They’ve been coming to Sundance annually for the past 15 years patiently waiting for their home and they knew this was the one the minute they walked in.

Testimonials and References:

After my first retreat to Sundance seven years ago, I left with the fantasy of one day owning a home there.  For fun and fantasy’s sake, I actually looked at a couple of cabins for sale that first visit before heading home to New York City — that is when I was initially put in contact with Wyatt.

Throughout the following years, I returned to Sundance at least once, usually twice, annually.  Though I told Wyatt we weren’t in a position to make any long distance real estate investments, I occasionally asked him to pass along the most current listings which he always graciously took the time to do.  Those first few years I would sit in front of my computer, still fantasizing as I looked at the available properties, but at one point I realized my fantasy began to evolve into a hope, a tangible dream … a dream that Wyatt understood and supported in his kind and patient manner.

With each return to Sundance, that dream was everpresent and resided within me at home in NYC until I absolutely knew it would some day be a dream come true — it was just a matter of time and patiently waiting for the right home for our family.  We began to seriously look at properties with Wyatt, who, after taking the time to really get to know us, knew exactly what we were looking for.  He was determined to make the match and always encouraging and reassuring that it would happen.

Then it came to be — the stars above Timpanogos aligned and we now own the perfect home for us in our favorite haven with the most peaceful yet powerful view we could have ever dreamed of and hoped for!  With Wyatt’s knowledge and background in both the market and the mountain combined with his patience and dedication in helping our family find the right home, the entire experience was an enjoyable one and most certainly well worth the wait!
