The Hollow is an acre of land just a two minute walk upstream from the Sundance Resort. It was hand picked by Hank Stewart himself when his family homesteaded the canyon in the early 1900’s. It sits on the stream where Hank designed ponds and cascading waterfalls creating the ideal backdrop for any occasion. If you are looking for a memorable venue you need look no further.

Boutique Weddings
From the beautiful backdrop of the stream and cascading waterfalls to the thick wooded forest, brides and grooms have enjoyed The Hollow venue time and time again. Rustic elegance and mountain romance abound at the streamside setting where lighting and ambiance will keep you entranced throughout the night. We do a limited number of boutique weddings each summer that book out in advance. Maximum number of guests is 60. Pricing starts at $4,500. Please inquire for more details.

Stream Side Serenity
Hank Stewart helped homestead the North Fork Canyon what is commonly referred to as Sundance. Hank selected his ideal site for his mountain retreat conveniently located on the stream and within a 2 minute walk of what would become a ski hill and eventually the Sundance Resort. Hank built his rustic dream in the early 1930’s and ventured up the canyon to enjoy it on cross-country skis during the winter and any other means of transportation during the summer. Unfortunately Mother Nature had her way several years ago and dropped an 80 ft cottonwood tree in the middle of Hank’s cabin. We were forced to tear down the walls keeping only the stone fireplace that he built and warmed his family with over the years and the memories of an unforgettable man.
Although there is no longer Hank’s dwelling to enjoy we still have the incredible location and setting. Hank wouldn’t be happy if we are not finding a way to enjoy it and utilize it until we rebuild. So we have the perfect venue for gatherings, boutique weddings and any other excuse for a celebration.
Hank wanted the soothing stream while others sought out property with lofty views. We can’t say one is better than the other however we think his spot is exceptional and worthy of all types of celebrations.
