Our spacious large group cabin rentals are built for together time, with plenty of room to gather, eat, and relax, plus space to spread out when you want a quieter moment.
Our large group cabins are designed for groups who want to stay together rather than scattered across hotel rooms or squeezed into unsuitable spaces.
With generous layouts, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, and spacious shared living areas (plus game rooms or sound systems where available), everyone can gather comfortably while still having personal space.
There are no crowded common areas or shared hallways, just a private, mountain lodge-style setting where your group can relax and celebrate together. Professionally managed and consistently prepared for larger groups, you can book with confidence and clear expectations.
Add extras like grocery pre-stocking or a private chef dinner to make hosting effortless. These cabins offer the space, privacy, and atmosphere that bring everyone together.
Our large group cabin rentals range from roomy multi-bedroom homes to larger properties that comfortably suit extended families and friend groups. Share your headcount and we’ll do the rest!
Yes. We have selected pet friendly accommodation that works well for group trips, including properties with easy outdoor access and space to roam. If you need group lodging that is also pet friendly, tell us how many pets you’re bringing and we’ll recommend the best matches.
There are great options for group lodging stays, including hiking trails for all levels, fly fishing, horseback riding and seasonal winter activities like skiing and snowshoeing for those who want to add it in.
Yes. Many group cabins have multi-level layouts and separate living areas, so it’s easy to balance group time with downtime.
Your cabin rental includes exclusive use of the entire cabin, all standard utilities, professionally prepared interiors, fresh linens, coffee machine (complete with coffee) and essential amenities. You’ll arrive to a clean, ready-to-enjoy space with no shared areas and no hidden surprises. If you’d like to add extras such as pre-stocked groceries, fresh local flowers, or welcome drinks on arrival, contact us, and we’ll gladly make arrangements.
Minimum stays vary by season and demand. Weekends and peak periods may require a longer stay, while select dates can offer more flexibility. Most cabins require a 2 night minimum stay. During peak seasons (summer holidays, Christmas, ski season), minimum stays may extend to 5 nights.
We understand that plans can change, and we aim to keep our cancellation terms clear and fair. Cancellations tend to affect us greatly, and as a result, we are forced to abide by a stricter, less-friendly cancellation policy. We hope you can understand the challenging nature of managing vacation rental homes and appreciate your understanding in advance.
If cancellation occurs 30 days prior to arrival, we will refund your full deposit less a $50 cancelation fee and a 3.5% credit card processing fee.
If cancellation occurs within 30 days prior to arrival, no refund will be granted.
Check-outs prior to the reserved dates are not eligible for a refund.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected disruptions.
A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking unless your arrival date is within 30 days of the time you book.
Damage Protection
Your reservation will be charged anywhere from $25-$75 for a Damage waiver to cover up to $1,500.00 in damage. If any damages are above this, then the Renter authorizes any said damage or missing items charged to their credit card. Guests are responsible for reporting any and all damages to the property during their stay.
We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment details and schedules are confirmed before checkout for full transparency.
All payment terms are clearly outlined during the booking process, so you can reserve with confidence and clear expectations.
We have a cleaning fee that is added to each reservation based on the size of the home.
Extended stays may qualify for reduced nightly rates depending on season and availability. Contact our team for more information.
Yes. Fresh, professionally laundered bedding and bath linens are provided for your stay at all of our cabins.
Our cabin kitchens are thoughtfully equipped for preparing meals, with cookware, utensils, and essential appliances included.
Heating and cooling varies by cabin. Most of our cabins are equipped for year-round comfort, with heating for colder months and cooling solutions for summer. Contact our team for cabin-specific information.
Many of our cabins feature private hot tubs, fireplaces, or both. Availability varies, so you can choose a property that matches your preferences.
Most of our cabins include private outdoor spaces with seating, and many offer fire pits or BBQ areas for relaxed evenings outside.
Directions to the property and parking specifications will be sent 7 days before your stay. Vehicles are only allowed in the driveway. Cars parked on the road will be towed at the renter's expense.
We provide containers for recycling in each of our cabins.
Our cabins offer privacy and natural surroundings while still maintaining practical access to nearby towns and essentials. You’ll feel away from it all without being isolated. Our cabins are within a reasonable drive of local towns, grocery stores, and medical services, allowing you to balance seclusion with convenience. All of our cabins are located in Sundance, Utah, about an hour away from Salt Lake City.
We do have grocery stores in Utah, but there’s not one right here at Sundance. (The closest one is about 15 minutes away by car.) If you need items from a grocery store, pharmacy, or other provider and don’t want the hassle of shopping, we’ll gladly do it for you in advance. A small charge will apply.
We will send you step by step driving directions. GPS is recommended only to the Sundance Resort. The properties of Stewart Mountain Lodging are easily accessed by the Alpine Scenic Loop, a.k.a. SR92, a class 3 mountain road.
During the winter months (November 1 – April 30), the road conditions can be hazardous, particularly during and after a winter storm. For this reason, the Utah Highway Patrol requires all vehicles to be equipped with 4WD, AWD or tire chains.
All of our cabins offer Wi-Fi, and mobile signal varies by provider and location. We think Sundance is a great place to escape from the outside world. But sometimes you just need to keep in touch. That’s why our properties have Wi-Fi service included. Make sure to have Wi-Fi Calling turn on is your settings.
There’s no need for bottled water. Enjoy perfect mountain spring water right from the tap.
All of our cabins are accessible year-round. 4WD, AWD or chains are required from November 1 through the end of March. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions.
Access to the Stewart Mountain Lodging properties during the winter months requires mandatory 4WD, AWD or tire chains. We’re not kidding. Many of our properties are located on secondary roads that remain snow-packed and icy during the winter season.
Yes. Sundance is renowned for its year-round natural beauty and outdoor activities. Depending on the season, nearby activities may include hiking, skiing, fishing, wildlife viewing, and lake adventures — all within easy reach. Most of our cabins have mountain footpaths directly on your doorstep.
If you are visiting from out of state or from a much lower altitude, give your body the chance to acclimate to our thinner air. Altitude sickness, also known as acute mountain sickness (AMS), typically occurs at elevations of 8,000 ft or higher. Sundance sits at just under 6,200 feet above sea level. Do not overexert and be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get around. Drink plenty of water to keep from getting dehydrated, a common problem with high altitude. Symptoms include headache, fatigue, stomach illness, dizziness, and sleep disturbance. Exertion aggravates the symptoms. If you do experience AMS, descending in elevation for several hours is often all that is needed. Call us if you have any questions or concerns.
Yes, we recommend car rentals for our properties and require 4WD, AWD during the winter. There are so many adventures and experiences in our surrounding areas that we are certain you will not want to miss.
We are located 50 miles south of Salt Lake City, up Provo Canyon in Sundance, UT. Our cabin rentals are found near the ski slopes, on the stream or overlooking the canyon's natural landscape. Click here to see an overview for each property.
Many of our cabins are well-suited to families, offering spacious layouts, multiple bedrooms, and private outdoor areas. Specific features vary by property. You can view all our family-friendly cabins here.
Select cabins are pet-friendly. Pet policies are clearly outlined on individual listings to ensure the right fit for you and your companion. You can view all our pet-friendly cabins here. For those allowing pets, advance arrangements required, additional fees apply. *Please note that if a pet is found to be occupying a non-pet-friendly property, additional fees will be applied to your reservation.
No, we have a strict no-smoking policy. Violation of this policy will result in additional damage and a deep cleaning fee of $1000. These are all privately owned homes, and the owners do not allow smoking.
Check-in: 4:00 pm
Check-out: 11:00 am - (Cleaners arrive promptly; if more time is needed, please contact us as early as possible.)
We handle most everything. Guests are simply asked to leave the cabin in reasonable condition and dispose of trash in the bins provided and make sure they collect all personal items and phone chargers.
Due to Sundance’s location in the North Fork Canyon, we are occasionally visited by local wildlife. This can include elk, deer, mountain lions, bobcats, raccoons, moose, skunks and all other forest critters. Discourage children from trying to pet, feed or catch any wildlife. If confronted by a large animal, raise your arms, make lots of noise and slowly back away.
